How to Enjoy Your Hotel Stay
So, you are on a vacation and you ask how could you enjoy your hotel stay. Enjoying the beach, eating in restaurants and partying must be the top things your crew has in mind. You do not realize though that half of the time you are in your room resting, getting ready or going online.
These are a few things a squad leader may consider when planning an out of town stay:
Booking a room.
Hotels are temporary shelter for people on travel purposes -- leisure or business. Hotel members rack up points for each stay. Along with these points are amenities for members only. If you do not have membership, it may be cheaper to book a room online. Compare room rates on these websites:
booking.com
hotels.com
agoda.com
Booking websites would usually give you options to what type of room is available. Some reservations offer free breakfast and others don't. They may not list full amenities. In that case, check what the hotel's website for more details.
Restaurant
Bookmarked on Yelp and meals planned out, didn't you? If you are in a different place try what the locals are having. Buy the food that you feel is a must try and be generous with a feedback. When on a trip it has become a rule of thumb to say, "let us try food and restaurants that we do not have back home."
When staying in a hotel, give their restaurant a chance. Breakfast buffet usually comes with a room reservation. We stayed in a hotel which lived up to its 3 star rating. But the dining area was cozy and had a friendly vibe. The coffee was good along with their pastries. So it was a good pick-me-up for our long day.
Casino with hotels usually have a number of restaurants. Go to one that serves buffet for a big feast.
Bath tubs or jacuzzi
What can be more satisfying than a warm bath after a day of walking? Soak your tired feet and lean your aching back in a tub if fragrant water or silky bubbles.
Bath bombs and wine...what a nice girly treat! Soak a bath bomb in a tub then watch it fizzle away. An explosion of aroma instantly soothes you.
Try Pure Sanctum's bath bombs. They are white in color with mini treats such as heart shaped melties.

Although there are a lot of colorful ones from different brands, stay away from those that could stain the tubs.
Lush is a preferred bubble bath shop. Choose from a lot of scents. One piece is enough for a medium sized jacuzzi.
Recreation and Casino
If your hotel has recreation area or a casino, it might be worth checking it. Before heading out, get a feel of why other people love to stay in. Enjoy the amenities provided to you -- use of the pool and gym, complimentary drinks, free ride, etc.
Check the casinos, too. Choose from rows and rows of slot machines. Be strong and do not blow your whole budget for these addictive things.
Enjoy the sun and do more things when going on a trip. Most often than not you may never make a second go because there are more places to go to. Make each stay memorable -- in or out of your hotel.
